About the Program

The Science of Law is a social science specializing in studying human actions, reactions and overall behaviour of individuals and groups. The Faculty of Law seeks to educate citizens their rights and responsibilities through providing local communities with qualified graduates capable of upgrading law-related professions, so that they constitute an added value to their communities and to the organizations they work for. The College of Law taking into consideration the condition of the working society members, who desire to study at the college, offers a unified studying program, fulfilling the goals of AFU.

  • Obtaining the minimum (75% for the elite program, 80% for the advanced program, or 85% for the general program) for the Emirati high school average or its equivalent.
  • Passing the EmSAT test in the Arabic language with a score of (1000) for the programs offered in the Arabic language, and (800) for the programs offered in the English language or its equivalent.
  • Passing the EmSAT test in mathematics with a score of (800).
  • Passing the EmSAT test in English with a score of (950) for the programs offered in the Arabic language and (1100) for the programs offered in the English language or its equivalent.
  • Passing the admission test set by the College of Law.
  • Passing the personal interview by the College of Law.
  • In addition to other conditions for admission set by Al Falah University (AFU).

A bachelor degree is granted after a successful completion of the required credit hours and cumulative grade point average as following:

  • A student must complete 135 credit hours as follows:
    • General Education Courses Compulsory: 21 credit hours
    • General Education Courses Elective: 9 credit hours
    • College Compulsory Courses: 93 credit hours
    • College Elective Courses: 9 credit hours
    • Free Electives: 3 credit hours
  • The minimum cumulative grade point average required for a bachelor degree is 2.00.
  • Transfer students from other institutions must complete at least 50% of the required credit hours at AFU. The last 30 required credit hours of the study plans must be completed at AFU
  • The minimum period of enrollment for the completion of a requirement is 6 regular semesters (inapplicable to transferred students)
  • The maximum period of enrollment for the completion of a requirement is 14 regular semesters.
