The bachelor of Arts in Islamic Studies aims to provide specialized learning at a distinguished level and seeks to encourage students to continue in the learning process that benefit them in the field of work in various institutions. The bachelor of Arts in Islamic Studies also provides opportunities to help students enhance their skills in the field of work in Various governmental and private community institutions.   • Obtaining a high school degree from the United Arab Emirates or its equivalent from outside the country, after being certified by the UAE Ministry of Education, with a rate not less than 60%.
  • An application for acceptance to be completely filled out, through the Admission and Registration Unit.
  • A copy of the high school degree or its equivalent certified by the concerned authorities.
  • Passing the (EmSAT) test in Arabic with a score of (1000).
  • Passing the EmSAT test in English with a score of (950) or its equivalent: TOEFL or IELTS exam

Bachelor of Literature in Islamic Studies: A bachelor’s degree is granted after a successful completion of the required credit hours and cumulative grade point average as following:

  • A student must complete 123 credit hours as follows:
    • Compulsory General Education Courses: 21 credit hours.
    • Elective General Education Courses: 9 credit hours.
    • Compulsory College Courses: 21 credit hours.
    • Compulsory Specialization Requirement: 60 credit hours.
    • Elective Specialization: 6 credit hours.
    • Elective Courses: 3 credit hours.
    • Internship: 3 credit hours.
  • The minimum cumulative grade point average required for a bachelor’s degree is 2.00.
  • Transfer students form other institutions must complete at least 50% of the required credit hours at AFU.
  • The last 30 required credit hours of the study plans must be completed at AFU.
  • The minimum period of enrollment for the completion of a requirement is 6 regular semesters (inapplicable to transferred students).
  • The maximum period of enrollment for the completion of a requirement is 14 regular semesters.
