To continue providing our students with continuous service and to ensure high level of productivity, all AFU employees are requested to observe the below policies and procedures with regards to working remotely:
Employer’s Right and Responsibilities:
Working hours is the same as official working hours approved during regular conditions.
Attendance is based on attendance poll sent three times a day (Morning, Afternoon and before the end of the official working hours) via Microsoft Teams. Human Resources Unit would receive the responses as well as the official report with the login timings of all
Department, Center, Unit Managers and Directors must prepare a daily work plan for staffs working The work plan should cover the required number of hours and the staff should be readily available for their immediate manager/ director to monitor their performance throughout the day.
Department, Center, Unit Managers and Directors could delegate authority if deemed necessary to perform and finish tasks
Department, Center, Unit Managers and Directors may end the previously set remote work period at any time in accordance to their evaluation of staff performance or work Staffs are required to adhere and to report back to AFU campus an instructed.
Working remotely is an exceptional measure and is only permitted by AFU’s Executive Management as a necessary approach for work continuity and should not be considered as entitlement or a special
Concerned departments must ensure required technological support is available for staffs working remotely by providing work related digital technologies, gadgets and equipment.
Policies and procedures as imposed within AFU grounds shall still be adhered and implemented to staffs working
Employee’s Right and Responsibilities:
Staffs working remotely are required to perform their job responsibilities at regular working hours and should be readily available to answer all phone calls and emails while completing their daily work plan as assigned by their Department, Center, Unit Manager and/or Director.
If necessary or required, staffs working remotely should report back to AFU if called
for official meetings and other work-related activities or as required by the nature of their work.
Staffs must ensure a suitable work environment is set up in their remote workplace to
uphold productivity, professionalism and exemplary work ethics.
Staffs must submit a daily report in accordance to the daily work plan The report must reflect accurate description of work output with necessary supporting evidences to fairly gauge work productivity.
Staffs are expected to still comply with professional ethics and work code followed while inside AFU grounds such as information confidentiality, filing and maintaining documents and completing tasks within the day in addition to other standards of proper professional
