Student Affairs at Al Falah University welcomed new students, in the presence of the President of the University, Prof. Adi Arida, Deans of colleges, and academic and administrative staff members.

At the beginning of the event, Prof. Arida said "We are pleased to welcome the students who have joined the first semester of the academic year 2021-2022. AFU has overcame many challenges by pushing the wheel of development to maintain quality in education virtually and face to face, thus, disregarding the exceptional circumstances that the COVID-19 pandemic has created that limits community interactions among institutions of higher education and students. Additionally, the university has managed to stop the spreading of the virus by successfully implementing preventive measures to ensure that educational process can resume normally and as usual”.

He also added that AFU’s administration, academic and administrative staff members are all keen to welcome the students back and are exerting efforts, manpower and resources to ensure the University is a conducive and safe educational environment for all. 

Dr. Samer Abdel Hadi, Dean of the College of Arts and Humanities also reminded the students of the importance of attending academic advising sessions and coordinating with the assigned academic advisors to guide them through their university life. He also gave a brief introduction about the University, the offered academic programs from the various Colleges and introduced some of the academic and administrative staff members to the students. 

The Student Council President Salem Al-Adidi also stressed the influential role the Council plays in serving as a link between the student body and the University administration and encouraged the new students to choose and join among the several established student clubs.

Towards the end of the meeting, the new students were taken on a tour of the campus facilities and briefed on the processes that they would need to do later on such as the how-to’s of hybrid learning, requesting for technical support, registration procedures, etc.
