In cooperation with Student Affairs and the College of Arts and Humanities at Al Falah University, AFU has organized with the International Hemaya Center of Dubai Police, through the "Microsoft Teams" program, a virtual lecture entitled “The Negative Impact and Dangerous Harms of Drugs ".  The lecture aims to serve the community and spread awareness and knowledge among its members. In the presence of the Dean of the College of Arts and Humanities, and university students, the lecture was delivered by Lieutenant Ahmed Salem Al-Kaabi, Head of the Community Programs Department at Dubai Police.

During the lecture, Lieutenant Ahmed Salem Al-Kaabi stated the dangerous harms of drugs and their negative impact on society and the family.  He additionally explained the factors that lead to drug abuse including personality disorders and bad companionships.

Lieutenant Ahmed Salem Al-Kaabi stressed that there are a set of preventive measures that help to avoid drug abuse, including living an active social, and physical life; in addition to, building a healthy relation with family members that is based on mutual trust, love and good values.

The meeting included a set of figures and statistics related to the drug trade, the third largest trade in the world.  In conclusion, community members should maintain the security and stability of society by raising awareness in young generation.
