Al Falah University won first place at the University Level with Dubai Customs’ “Intellectual Property Films for University Students”. The competition aimed to educate and raise awareness among University students about the importance of protecting intellectual property rights and to instill a spirit of creativity and innovation.

Organized by Dubai Customs in cooperation with the House of Wisdom Consulting, AFU College of Mass Communication students submitted a film depicting educating the community about the importance of preserving and protecting public health from the dangers and harms of counterfeit goods, and working to protect the rights of individuals and companies from illegal exploitation. The film produced by Rashid Hashem, Khalifa Al Hammadi, Maid Al Shehhi, Student and Mr. Majid Al Alawi, Juma Nasser and Sultan Al Shehhi under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Kamel from the College of Mass Communication and the follow-up of Dr. Hassan Mustafa, Dean of the College of Mass Communication.

Dr. Mustafa stated that the award helped encourage students to be creative and innovative, and to raise awareness of the importance of protecting intellectual property rights, while working to enhance the role of Dubai Customs with its social responsibility.

He added that Al Falah University places the protection of intellectual property rights among its priorities by implanting the concepts of intellectual rights protection among students during lectures or through activities and events organized by the university.
