In accordance to the vision of Al Falah University to promote the values of tolerance and human fraternity among all citizens of the society, and coinciding with the UAE’s declaration of the fourth of November every year as the "International Day of Human Fraternity", the College of Arts and Humanities via "MS Teams", hosted Prof. Mahmoud Al-Sartawi, who delivered a lecture about solidarity and social order in Islam. He talked about the meaning and importance of brotherhood and how to strengthen the bonds between citizens.
Prof. Al-Sartawi also spoke about the necessity of having compassion and being understanding to confront extremism and other negative occurrences that hinder strengthening human relations.
He also discussed the role of education in promoting tolerance and eliminating discrimination based on religion or belief. He also commended all international, national and local initiatives by religious leaders to promote accord between different religions and cultures.
Dr. Samer Abdel-Hadi, Dean of the College of Arts and Humanities and several students, academic and administrative staff members attended the meeting.
