Al Falah University (AFU) has achieved an academic milestone by entering the prestigious Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World Ranking of the top 101 - 110 universities in the Arab Region for the year 2022.
During its annual ceremony, held in the presence of esteemed leaders of higher education, QS revealed the list of universities, including Al Falah University, that have been recognized to be among the best institutions of higher education in the Arab Region.
Evaluating universities’ performances, the remarkable classification issued by the QS World University Rankings is based on the highest international standards and tactical methodologies, taking into consideration effective metrics such as: “Academic Reputation”, “Employer Reputation”, “Faculty/Student Ratio”, “Citations per faculty”, and “International Faculty Ratio”.
AFU President Prof. Adi Arida stated: “In few years, Al Falah University, outstandingly acknowledged by QS Rankings, proves that the University has achieved a solid, regional, intellectual reputation in the region through its cohesive, educational framework, significant scientific research, widely accredited programs, tremendous dedication and efforts exerted by the university’s collective academic and administrative bodies who tailor the knowledge-acquisition process and facilitate students’ needs, and the University’s vital initiatives that are aligned with the United Arab Emirate’s vision to maintain a sustainable growth and development in the educational sector .”
Additionally, Prof. Adi stressed that “this accomplishment validates the University's keenness to promote strategic, innovative excellence in the educational cycle, and help in materializing aspects of the University’s vision, mission and goals to be internationally and locally recognized as one of the best universities in the UAE and in the region. Moreover, by gaining recognition of an exceptional international ranking such as QS, Al Falah University will orchestrate further academic achievements by obtaining international accreditations for its programs. As, AFU is continuously reinforcing and constituting the foundations to build a comprehensive and effective learning experience, based on theoretical and practical grounds, to ultimately equip graduates to be entrepreneurs who enrich their societies and add value to the working place in their country.”
Prof. Mohanad Halaweh, Director of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center, stated that this achievement is a collective effort of all the academic, administrative staff members and students to enhance AFU’s educational and research outputs.
He also pointed out that the QS rankings in the Arab Region have become increasingly competitive in the recent years, as universities seek to improve their local and international academic standings.
