With the designation of February 4 as the International Day of Human Fraternity, Student Affairs at the Al Falah University organized an initiative "Prayer and Supplication for Humanity".
In the presence of the University President, Prof. Adi Arida, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Amjad Al Nasser, academic and administrative staff members, the University celebrated the event with aspirations of promoting peace and global tolerance and to commemorate the signing of the Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together also known as the Abu Dhabi declaration by Sheikh Ahmed el-Tayeb and Pope Francis of the Catholic church.
Prof. Arida stated that the International Day of Human Fraternity is the fruit of the citizens relentless efforts to spread the values of goodness, love, peace and cooperation and to close the gaps with other cultures and religions by building bridges of open communication to achieve peace, stability and harmony.
He also explained that the current circumstances make it imperative for everyone to show solidarity to confront the global pandemic. He thanked the Student Affairs and everyone behind the initiative and encouraged the whole community to gather for one goal which is to pray for humanity.
