Al Falah University signed a memorandum of understanding with the Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities Department to enhance cooperation and support in the fields of religion and education, particularly in teaching Qur’an. The MoU aims to achieve public interest and a mutually beneficial partnership between public and private institutions including organizing joint activities.
The agreement was signed at the headquarters of the Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities Department in the presence of H.E. Dr. Hamad Al Sheikh Ahmed Al Shaibani, Director General, and the President of the University, Prof. Adi Arida who stated that "We are pleased to sign this memorandum, which comes in line with the strategic plan of Al Falah University and the College of Arts and Humanities." The memorandum is an important step towards Reinforcing the theoretical education and activating the practical knowledge for the Bachelor of Arts in Islamic Studies and Bachelor of Arts in Arabic Language and Literature.
For his part, H.E. Dr. Hamad Al Sheikh Ahmed Al Shaibani, Director General, said that the memorandum reflects a system of multidisciplinary cooperation, by laying the foundations for joint strategic cooperation in the religious and educational sector. He also stressed that the partnership would enhance productivity and support in the educational process.
The agreement aspires to strengthen the bonds of cooperation between the University and the Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities Department, with both parties contributing to achieve success in exchanging experiences and information of common interest and sharing professional skills as necessary.
The Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai will train and qualify students nominated by Al Falah University to obtain a certificate of recitation of the Noble Qur’an.
In coordination with the Department, the University will train teachers at the Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Islamic Culture of the department, to teach non-Arabic speaking communities. In addition, AFU on its part will contribute to prepare scientific, educational and awareness materials that serve the new Muslim.
