Al Falah University’s Student Affairs via Microsoft Teams organized a virtual orientation day for new students joining the second semester of the Academic Year 2020-2021. Attended by the University President, Prof. Adi Arida, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Amjad Al Nasser, College deans and academic and administrative staff members.
In the beginning of the activity, Prof. Arida welcomed the new students and expressed his appreciation for them choosing Al Falah University, stressing the University’s enthusiasm to pay attention to its students and for the academic and administrative staff members to respond to all their needs and to assist in the students’ academic journey. He assured the students a safe and progressive educational environment since the University is exercising precautionary measures and developing programs and courses for the majors and specializations offered under the four Colleges.
The College deans also provided advices and instructions to the new students during the meeting. One of the most important of which is the necessity of the student’s open communication with their academic advisor to be their mentor the duration of their studies and their first point of contact when they have any questions and or difficulties faced.
The Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Ashraf Jahmani presented an overview of the activities and events planned by the Student Affairs. He also enumerated the student services that the students could avail and student clubs that the students could join as he emphasized the need to have extracurricular activities for the students to be well-rounded professionals after they graduate.
