Al Falah University participated in the Literacy Challenge Forum held under the title “Challenges and Solutions” organized by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Knowledge Foundation and under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and under the guidance of Sheikh Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the Foundation.

His Excellency Jamal Bin Huwaireb, CEO of the foundation, stressed during the first session of the forum that illiteracy in the Arab region is a real and deep problem that stands as a major obstacle to the march of countries towards sustainable development and achieving human welfare and prosperity.

He explained that the forum constitutes a meeting point for leaders to exchange views in a more extensive way which further motivates institutions and individuals to mobilize efforts to confront the problem of illiteracy in various cities and countries of the Arab world. And thus, to contribute effectively to building educated societies and improving people's lives and enhancing their well-being.

The forum was attended by Dr. Noor Atatreh, AFU Chancellor, Prof. Abdelhafid Belarbi, AFU President, Dr. Hassan Mustafa, Dean of the College of Mass Communication, Dr. Reneh Ramsis and Dr. Reem Yousef. 

AFU President, Prof. Abdelhafid Belarbi said that education plays a major role in supporting sustainable development, the well-being of people, and achieving the goals of sustainable development in a significant way.
