Dr. Noor Aldeen Atatreh, AFU Chancellor with Prof. Abdelhafid Belarbi, AFU President met with the Editor-in-Chief of Emirates Newspaper H.E. Sami Al Riyami possible opportunities for training mass communication students by conducting seminars and practical training for the students to observe media’s development and the work from various sections of the newspaper. This agreement would greatly benefit the students and improve the educational outcome within the university. 

Dr. Atatreh stated Al Falah University aims to develop a complementary and beneficial partnership with numerous media organizations, in particular, Emirates newspaper, as a major media organization in Dubai to help provide training opportunities for mass communication students to link theoretical knowledge to practical application. 

H.E. Al Reyami welcomed the delegation and agreed with the importance of developing cooperation with leading educational institutions in the UAE to support the transformation and rapid growth in the fields of media and technology. He also believes in the early preparation of the young generation to prepare capable media professionals to take responsibility and promote UAE media forward. 

He also stressed that the support of the newspaper to young media practitioners by helping hone their skills and make them qualified to shoulder their future responsibilities. He also considers the project of training outstanding students an important step in advancing the localization of the media industry with local media personnel capable of following the process of spreading the message of UAE civilization globally. 

Towards the end of the meeting, Dr. Noor Aldeen Atatreh presented a plaque to H.E. Sami Al Riyami in honor of his efforts to serve the Emirates of Dubai and its media sector.
