A delegation from Al Falah University visited the first fully sustainable community in Dubai which aims to help preserve the environment and to encourage “greener” building techniques.

The delegation included Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Samer Abdelhadi, Mr. Waddie Abboud of the Department of General Education and a number of students studying the course of human and environment. The visit aims to shed light on the latest developments in sustainable projects.

During the visit, a brief presentation was made about the sustainable city, followed by a guided tour throughout the project being developed around the three pillars of sustainability - social, environmental and economic. The five million square feet project is designed to be a global model of what can be achieved through a commitment to sustainability, while incorporating a wide range of initiatives to conserve resources and save money, including a design that ensures energy efficiency in homes, environmentally friendly constructions, and the deployment of solar panels on roofs.
