The Orientation Sessions have come to an end thus saturating all the members with all possible information needed to successfully take off for a triumphant year. During these sessions, the new members of the teaching staff were welcomed by the Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Sameer Al Barghouthi, and briefed about the colleges and their work requirements in accordance with the standards of quality. In addition to this all the faculty members were briefed with regards to academic and administrative regulations and the services available. The second day observed dedicated activities towards academic development. All the faculty members were introduced with each Administrative Department and acquainted with their role and support in facilitating the students. Detailed presentations were made by the Media Office, Admission and Registration Department, Finance Department, Library, IT Department and the Quality Assurance and Institutional Research Unit. The Directors of each department entertained all the queries of their respective units with professionalism providing all the necessary information. Third day was designed as the conclusive session by the Department of Students Affairs under the leadership of Ms. Ghada Waleed. Beginning with the services offered by the Department she walked the attendees through the extent to which the academic units and Students Affairs Unit coordinate. In an interactive session the attendees did a SWOT analysis thereby developing a draft for the upcoming strategic plan for the community engagement and professional development of AFU members. The new faculty members were given a tour of the campus to acquaint with the colleges and departments, facilities and services in addition to the library and laboratories. Al Falah University aims to progress in the intellectual and research productions and work on community service in line with its vision of leadership and excellence in higher education and scientific research by attracting academic talent from different nationalities and universities around the world.
