Al Falah University is an ardent supporter of community engagement and in efforts to provide an input, a delegation from Al Falah University headed by Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr Sameer Al Barghouthi, visited the DMI for the care of women and children, on Wednesday 25 May 2016 to discuss ventures of cooperation.
In this visit Dr Samir Al Barghouthi was accompanied by the Director of Students Affairs, Ms. Ghada Walid, Manager of Student Recruitment Unit, Mr. Nabil Abu Ela and Supervisor of Media Unit, Mr. Malek Abu Ageel. They were hosted by the Assistant DG for corporate support Ms. Shaikha Saeed Al Mansoori, Communication Director, Ms. Maryam Majid bin Theneya and, community Awareness executive Ms. Professor Maryam Ali Saif.
During the meeting, they were briefed on the objectives and vision of the center for protection of women and children as how they prevent them from various different forms of violence. In addition to this, they promote a culture of empowerment through supporting programs that raise awareness of issues of violence against women and children.
Dr Sameer Al Barghouthi praised the noble efforts of the center and gave a detailed overview of Al Falah University specifying the role of the University in community service and engagement. He stressed the need to establish relationships among both the institutes to exchange creative ideas to create a safe and happy Emirati society.
