Within the preventive and precautionary measures taken at Al Falah University to ensure the safety of students and based on the Ministry of Education’s instruction for the year 2020 regarding implementation of the online distance learning system until the end of the Academic Year 2019-2020, the following is to be implemented and adhered to: 

• All lectures will continue to be online during the second and the summer semester for the AY 2019 – 2020.
• Mid-term exam assessments will be conducted remotely through various means such as assignments, short and oral exams, as well as direct online presentations.
• Final exams will be held remotely at specific timings using online distance learning system and via the use of monitoring tools such as cameras.
• Student performance evaluation in all courses offered during online distance learning is with the same level of accuracy and academic integrity used in the traditional way.
• The performance of registered students on practical training courses will evaluated in the second semester for AY 2019-2020 based on attendance and hours spent during the internship before attendance was suspended, provided the students were assigned additional tasks to complete online to compensate for the hours and to fulfill training requirements.
• Courses with scientific application will be completed and graduation projects will be discussed through online distance learning system.
• Students are given the freedom to choose the marks evaluation system in online distance learning system for the second and summer semester 2019-2020. Assessing the usual marks which is the value written in letters. A passing/failing score will be monitored in the academic record of the student without having any effect on the GPA.
• After announcement of grades for all courses, students will be given a specific period to inform the university of the chosen proposed system to evaluate the marks. In the event no response is received, the marks will automatically be evaluated in the usual system which is the value written in letters.
• Students are allowed to withdraw from the course until the end of the semester before the start of the final exam date.
• In case the student decides to continue in the course, they must adhere to attend the final exams while following all mentioned rules, otherwise, a failing grade will be calculated.
