Health Services and healthcare activities currently being provided by designated staff of Al Falah University (AFU) to Students to ensure a safe learning environment and promote physical well-being of Students.
These include:
The First Aid Room
The university’s first aid room provides services to all students registered at the university, and students with special needs are also benefited from special health services that suit the students’ special needs. In case that some special services are not available in the first aid room, the student is directed to review the appropriate health institutions.
The First Aid Room is where students have access to basic health assessment procedures like measuring blood pressure and blood sugar conducted by the designated First Aid Nurse. The First Aid Nurse provides management of minor health emergencies and immediate referrals to major health emergencies requiring advanced care.
Health Questionnaire and Health Declaration Forms
Health Questionnaire and Health Declaration Forms found in the Students’ Moodle Accounts are used as assessment tools to identify students with special health cases who need special management. Medical information disclosed and recommendations from Physicians are being communicated to the Faculty Members and Deans.
Health information (e.g. medical records, assessment forms) are not allowed to be viewed or shared with other student/staff/faculty without prior approval of the student.
Student has the right to submit a complaint about the services provided in the First Aid Room by filling out the form in Student Affairs, and the complaint has to be responded to by the Student Affairs within 15 working days.
AFU provides health services to University students and faculty members and staff in the First Aid Room free of charge.
The First Aid Nurse in the First Aid Room keeps all data about all visits/cases.
The working hours of the First Aid Nurse in the First Aid Room at AFU are organized based on the lectures' schedule in each academic semester, so that a shift schedule commensurate with the hours of staff and students' presence at the university.
A student registered at the university is considered eligible for the services of the First Aid Room at the University along with the University staff and Faculty Members.
Student Affairs Unit in collaboration with the First Aid Nurse:
Student Affairs prepares reports on the percentage of students who have benefited from health education, with suggestions on how to develop services.
