AFU students in every semester must carry out registration according to the stated dates in AFU’s academic calendar, as instructed below:
A student is not allowed to take a course unless he/she has studied the prerequisite(s) for that course (if applicable).
The student is not allowed to register for a course and its prerequisite(s) in the same semester, unless these courses are in the final semester before the student plans to graduate, or if the student is re-taking the prerequisite(s).
The student must get the approval for his courses by the academic advisor or the system (in case of smart advising) to approve the course and then proceed to the Finance Unit.
The student must ensure that he/she has completed the registration process for his/her courses.
The full-time undergraduate student credit load is between 12 and 18 credits per regular semester.
Students cannot normally be allowed to undertake more than 6 credits in the summer term.
Exceptions to these limits can only be made for a maximum of an additional 3 credits for students in their final graduation semester or term.
