Call for Papers

AFU would kindly like to invite you to register to the 2nd AFU International Conference: Towards Advanced Scientific Knowledge (TASK-2018) in Business; 1st -3rd May 2018, Dubai, UAE.

TASK-2018 is a three days multidisciplinary conference organized by the College of Business Administration, Al Falah University – Dubai. TASK 2018 offers various tracks which include: Accounting, Finance, Management, Economics, Statistics, Econometrics, HRM, MIS, Marketing, Business Ethics, e-Business, e-Government, e-Learning, Globalization, Leadership, Logistics, Organizational Structure, Growth and Economic Development, Globalization and International Trade, Business law, Communication Studies, Media, Social Media, Journalism, Civil Law, Commercial Law, and , Legal Studies.

Authors are invited to submit their ORIGINAL research papers, case study, review, work in progress, reports, and abstract within the broad scope of the conference.

All submissions will be peer reviewed and evaluated based on originality, technical and/or research content/depth, correctness, relevance to conference, contributions, and readability. Submissions will be chosen based on technical merit, interest, applicability, and how well they fit a coherent and balanced technical program. Paper Awards

Best Paper Awards and Best Student Paper Awards will be conferred at the conference (in order to qualify for the award, the paper must be presented at the conference). One Best Paper will be selected from each oral session based on the recommendation of the Session Chair. The Certificate for Best Paper will be awarded during the certificate distribution session of the conference.

Submission Guidelines

Abstracts and Full Papers should be formatted as follows:

  • Microsoft Word or compatible file
  • Paper size: A4 (21 x 29,7cm).
  • Times New Roman, 12 points
  • Single-spaced

Abstracts and Full Papers should include the following (for all authors):

  • Your name
  • Institute affiliation
  • Mailing address
  • E-mail addresses

Conference Submission Review Policy

TASK 2018 conference submissions are peer-reviewed by at least two reviewers who are members the conference’s Program Committee of experts in fields specifically matching the conference topics. Papers are subject to a double-blind review. Submission evaluation criteria:

  • Potential value
  • Relevance to conference
  • Originality
  • Style: Clarity, Length, Originality, Etc.

Manuscripts should be submitted in Word format and formatted Submission is limited to 15 pages. Additional pages will be charged.


  • The abstract should be a summary of your presentation and covers
  • Backgrounds/Research goals/Objectives
  • Methods
  • Expected results/conclusions/contributions
  • Keywords.

Full Paper

Full paper should be typed single-spaced in 12 point type Times New Roman. Papers should be submitted via our e-mail

Basic Submission Rules

Language: English (Arabic is accepted for Law and Media Tracks) 
Abstract: Word limited 200 words within one page. 
Full paper:  10-15 pages single space. Reference, table/chart, and Keywords are included. 
Keywords: 3-5 words. 
Font/Size/Paragraph: Times New Roman/12 point/Single-Spaced
Format: MS Word-compatible file.

Please submit an abstract/full paper to Prof. Khalifa Jaber at The authors shall receive an email reply to confirm the receipt within 2-3 working days. If the paper is accepted a unique registration number will be sent to the author to complete his/her registration online.

Participants who wish to attend the conference only should send us a request via email to guide him/her in completing the registration process.


Abstract Proceeding: All abstracts accepted for presentation in this conference will be double Peer Blind Reviewed and will be published in the conference abstracts proceeding in a softcopy and in a hard copy.

Journal Publication – Special Issue

Selected papers will be considered for possible publication in following journals indexed by Scopus. Kindly note that submissions will go through double blind review policy of the journals.

Registration Fee


At least one of the author(s) of the accepted paper must register for the conference to have their abstract included in the Conference Program. The registration fee will be $150 US Dollars (plus credit card fee approximately $10) for all attendants and it will be $600 US Dollars registration fees (plus credit card fee around $60) with accommodations in a Four star hotel for 4 nights. Conference registration fee includes the conference attendance for three days, Conference Kit, Conference Program Brochure, Certificate, coffee breaks and Conference registration with accommodations fee includes staying 5 days, 4 nights at Rotana Rose Rayhana Hotel (Conference Venue), Breakfasts, three lunches, One Tour, One Dinner.
