The College of Mass Communication was established at Al Falah University with the aim of preparing a cadre of graduates in the media and public relations sector who can meet the challenges of the labor market in the United Arab Emirates and the Arab region. The students are expected to develop ethical media and own communication skills by using modern and advanced media equipment and technologies.
The College of Mass Communication offers a Bachelor of Mass Communication with 3 concentrations: Journalism, New Media, and Public Relations. (126 Credit Hours)
Bachelor of Mass Communication with Concentration in New Media
New media is an evolution of the practice of traditional media and creative media coverage of various issues and events with the public. New Media varied in terms of covering events in various governmental and private organizations. It is also concerned with the cultural aspects of society, electronic editing, and digital photography. The field has become the main source of information on public affairs. Al Falah University offers a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication with a concentration in New Media to provide the country with graduates with New Media competence and skills.
The Bachelor of Mass Communication with a concentration in New Media aims to prepare graduates who can deal with new media technology in various jobs in the UAE. The concentration also aspires to provide the graduates with various computer skills and learn about the information technology to monitor various developments via the Internet around the world. The duration of study in this concentration is 126 Credit Hours (CH) normally completed in 4 academic years or 8 semesters.
Bachelor of Mass Communication with Concentration in Journalism
Journalism is the practice of traditional media, press coverage of various events and issues occurring in society. The press has become a major source of information on public affairs. Al Falah University offers a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication with a concentration in Journalism to provide the UAE with competent graduates with Journalism skills.
The Bachelor of Mass Communication with a concentration in Journalism aims to prepare graduates who can accomplish journalism assignments. The concentration also aims to provide the graduates with editorial and journalistic skills. Bachelor of Mass Communication with Concentration in Public Relations
The College of Mass Communication offers a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication with a concentration in Public Relations with the aim of preparing graduates who understand the principles of public relations and advertising, in addition to, develop successful public relations strategies for the development of various sectors in the UAE.
The Bachelor of Mass Communication with a concentration in Public Relations aims to prepare graduates who are eligible to be recruited for public relations related jobs in the various institutions in the UAE. The concentration also aims to provide graduates with various mass communication skills.
